Returns Policy

For hygienic reasons, no returns can be accepted on wigs, masks, jewellery or contact lenses unless they are faulty. No refund will be given on Seasonal Products after the end of that particular season, nor will part packages be accepted for return. Costume Cart will not accept responsibility for, nor refund the cost of goods that do not arrive in the condition that they were sold, or if they do not arrive on time.

Goods found to have a manufacturing defect will be replaced. Claims for faulty stock should be reported to Costume Cart within 5 days of the receipt of the goods and all claims must be approved prior to the return of the product, along with a copy of the invoice.

No refund will be given on delivery costs or costs incurred by the customer in return of the goods.

Payments

Credit card payments for orders will be processed at the time of ordering online through our Secure Payments Gateway.

Freight

Freight is charged at one amount for each state. There are some items that cannot be purchased under the minimum freight charge for orders. For these items and areas, Costume Cart will contact and advise the customer regarding the extra charge that will be incurred.

Conditions to this will be cubic weight items ordered, orders that exceed our freight and handling charge and delivery areas that incur an extra surcharge from our freight companies for delivery of orders. Remote areas of Australia are normally affected by this, but not limited to.

A surcharge will also apply to items that are quite large in size but light in weight. If these conditions apply to your order, you will be contacted and given the opportunity to pay the extra surcharge or cancel the order and be given a full refund.

Costume Cart takes no responsibility for any loss or damage to any products once the order has left our warehouse. Costume Cart will pack glass products to the best of our ability but take no responsibility for any breakages.

The customer is responsible for any extra charges that the freight company imposes on Costume Cart before, during or after the delivery of the goods. This can include but not limited to redelivery if no-one is home, redelivery to a different address or redelivery if the address is incorrect. Your order may be left at your address if you are not home. If this occurs Costume Cart and our freight courier does not accept any responsibility for any theft, damage or loss on any order. Your order will not be left at your address if you specifically tell us so. Leaving your order at your address if you are not home is at the complete discretion of our freight courier.

Items unavailable or no longer available

For items that are unable to be supplied with the original order, the customer will be advised on the unavailability of items and will be given the opportunity to choose another item, place the items on backorder, hold the order and send the complete order when the items are available or cancel the item from the order. If the item/s are placed on backorder, and the original order has been shipped, a freight may be charge for the backorder item/s will be charged to the customer for delivery. From time to time, items become no longer available by suppliers or are no longer stocked by Costume Cart. In these instances, the customer will be notified and given the opportunity to change the item selection and pay the difference or cancel the item from the order. If the customer chooses to cancel the item, a full refund for the item will be given.
